Individual Project: Modeling, Texturing, Rigging, Animation, Rendering
For my Texturing 2 class at the Digital Animation Center, we were given a snail model with UVs, and our goal was to create at least one of the snail's textures procedurally using Substance Designer. For my snail, I chose to convert it into a glider item from the game Fortnite. I created a simple skeletal rig and animation for the head and shell, and added the extra handlebar geometry. The blue/green spotted pattern was my Substance Designer material, while the rest of the detail was added in Substance Painter. Using online reference and some image downloads, I recreated the original store aesthetic in Photoshop, before compositing all the rendered elements together in After Effects.
