Individual Project: Modeling, Texturing, Rigging, Lighting, Rendering
During my first semester of studying animation, I challenged myself to create a virtual streamer's room for fun, and fill it with different items to make it feel comfortable. I explored how to make a lot of different objects, from rounded pokéballs to simulating a blanket and xgen grooms for a shag carpet. The textures were all made in Photoshop, and then rendered the set in Arnold. At the time, Fall Guys was a brand new game, so I chose to make one the main character of the scene. I downloaded a T-posed model from the internet, and I created my first rig with that character, learning weight painting, blend-shapes, and skeletal joints. I only ever completed a singular animation of it, which was a short looping idle animation attached below.
With a variety of different aspects explored in this project, I have attached a brief gallery of some behind the scenes images from this project. Overall, I am pleased with this being my first full set in Maya before I started at the Digital Animation Center officially.
